Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) is a state funded initiative that began with the 2023-2024 school year. The goal of UPK is to expand access to quality preschool programs for young children. All 4 year olds, (as well as 3 year olds with qualifying factors) are eligible for 15 hours of preschool per week that is free to families. (Families who meet income requirements may be eligible for more than 15 hours per week.)
