How to Apply for UPK via Giant Step

  1. Go to https://upk.colorado.gov/
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Submit an Application”.
  2. You will be directed to create an account.
  3. Follow the prompts to fill out your application.
  4. If your child qualifies, you will be shown the options available in Rangely, CO, namely Rangely Preschool (Parkview) and Giant Step.
  5. If you choose Giant Step, we will be notified on our end as the provider and can match with you.

Please note: Our preschool tuition option accepts children ages 2-5. Currently, only qualifying four year olds can receive UPK funding at Giant Step. In addition UPK funds can only be used at one program per eligible child. (In other words, if you use UPK funds at Giant Step for a child you could not also receive UPK funds to pay for public preschool at Rangely preschool for the same child.)
